Teri Smith is the newest appointed Small Business Roundtable member. She has been with the Business Improvement Areas of British Columbia (BIABC) since 2017 holding the positions of Director, President, Vice President and has completed her term as president. Currently she is Executive Director of the West End Business Improvement Area Association (RSBA) in Downtown Vancouver and completed her sixth year on the BIABC Board. The BIABC is an organization of more than 60 business improvement areas throughout the province. The BIABC’s mission is to demonstrate leadership that will champion strong, vibrant and successful downtowns, main streets and commercial districts throughout B.C.
She is also the West End Business Improvement Area (BIA) Executive Director, and a member and Committee Chair for the Vancouver BIA Partnership – positions she has held since 2013.
Between 2018 and 2019 Teri was a Leadership Committee Member for the International Downtown Association Canada. She has worked in BIAs for 20 years, including Heights Merchants, North Road and Hastings North. Teri is a strong, community-minded professional who received a Bachelor of Arts, focused in criminology and psychology, from Simon Fraser University in 2003.
When Teri is not working, she is a mother to two young children and can often be found cheering them on at the soccer field. Teri also enjoys baking, running and is an avid reader.
