Q: What is your motto?
Jill: “The problem contains the solution”.
Q: Where is your favorite B.C. destination?
Jill: Grand Forks, where I grew up. It is a beautiful place, surrounded by rivers and lakes.
Q: Who is/was your role model and why?
Jill: Mia Maki, a professor at the Gustavson School of Business has been a long time role model. She inspires young entrepreneurs, runs a successful business, and has a great shoe collection.
Q: If you could have dinner with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?
Jill: Paul Hawken. He was a thought leader in how business can be a force for positive change.
Q: What is the best business book you’ve ever read?
Jill: Favorite business books are the E-Myth, Radical Candor and The One Thing.
Q: What’s your advice for achieving work/life balance?
Jill: Save some energy for your life after work. If you come home exhausted, its time to refocus and reorganize your week.
Q: What is the thing that most entrepreneurs tend to overlook that they should be most focused on?
Jill: The foundational aspects of business – efficient and lean systems, great team culture, and financial accountability and strategic planning.
